Former Vice President Phelekezela Mpoko this afternoon appeared at the Magistrates court to answer questions in an alleged corruption case.
Reports indicate that MPOKO arrived in the company of his lawyer.
While the former VP was in the headlines previously over the weekend when his daughter posted a video clip of the moment officials from the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption (ZACC) Commission tried to bring Mpoko in for questioning with regards to an unstated issue, however this particular case is alleged to be related to the abuse of office by the then Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA) acting chief executive officer Engineer Moses Juma and non-executive director Davison Norupiri who were arrested by ZACC on allegations of defrauding the parastatal of US$1,3 million.
The two men were then released under the orders of the former VP, despite Juma having been convicted and consequently sentenced to 30 months in jail for criminal abuse of office.
